Hi, I’m Mitzi. I’m a wife, mom, grandma, crafter, voracious reader & dreamer. My husband Larry’s most feared words are “I have an idea…” After 30+ years of marriage, he kinda knows to just go with it!
We lived in our northern California home for 5 years, and spent all 5 fixing it up! When my husband’s job required us to move to the Midwest in 2021, we landed in Missouri. Although our new home is in much better shape than our last one, we are still making changes and sprucing it up. The home sits on 20 acres, so we’ve got our work cut out for us outside, too!
Many of our projects include items we find at thrift shops, yard sales or for free. We enjoy the challenge of re-purposing or repairing objects that someone else no longer wants. Who knows, you may see something we’ve done and suddenly know what to do with that once-forgotten, recently discovered ‘treasure’ in your basement or attic.
Our work is done with a limited budget and limited time – when Larry is not working his outside job. We figure if we can do it, anybody can do it.
Our family consists of 6 humans, a Chihuahua, an Australian Shepherd, and a Guinea Hen that came with the place. There are also Koi in a small pond and fresh water otters in the big pond. We enjoy keeping busy with projects, and look forward to sharing some of those projects with you.
